Celtic Christmas Songs
by Marc Gunn

Every year, I try to record a new Christmas song so that one day I can release my own full-length Celtic Christmas album.

In 2013, I recorded a fourth song "The Scottish King of Christmas". It is now on a four-song EP to celebrate a Celtic Christmas like you've never seen before.

The Scottish King of Christmas

Celtic Christmas SongsDid you know there was a fourth wiseman at the birth of Jesus? He traveled down from the Highlands of Scotland facing dangers and even ridicule to celebrate Jesus' birth. This is his story.

Celtic Christmas Elf Conscription Song

Celtic Christmas ElfThis song was written based on the Irish song "Arthur McBride" and other recruiting songs. A couple of Santa's Elves go recruiting fae. They meet a leprechaun in a pub and drag him to the North Pole to work in Santa's workshop.

Christmas in Scotland

Celtic Christmas ElfThis is a love song I wrote for my wife. My wife joined me on my Celtic Invasion of Scotland in 2010. She was pregnant at the time, but we laughed and loved in the cool Scottish air. It was magical trip and dream of what was to come when our baby was born.

Silent Night

Celtic Christmas ElfMy daughter was just a month old when I recorded her as the intro to this performance of "Silent Night". She was crying. I hit record and started to sing. As if by magic, she fell fast asleep in this lullaby arrangement of one of the most famous Christmas songs ever.

Don't forget to also pick up a copy of the Brobdingnagian Bards' CD Christmas in Brobdingnag. This was my first Celtic Christmas album that was released in 2005. It's as fun as all the Brobdingnagian Bards music.

I also perform Celtic Christmas music in Birmingham, Alabama during the holidays. Click the link to hire me!
